The Irish Day Civic Ceremonies will take place in the City Council Chambers at 10am on March 15th. 

The City of Los Angeles and the Irish Fair will honor the Irishman & Irishwoman of the Year and Irish Honoree's of the Year

 

The Los Angeles Mayor and City Council, along with The Irish Fair Foundation, will co-sponsor the IRISH DAY CIVIC CEREMONIES. The ceremonies have been held annually since 1876 at City Hall, downtown LA,  and this year will be on the 15thof March in the Council Chambers.  

The award for the Irish Man and Woman, along with the Irish Honoree's are as follows,

Irish Man of the Year :  Thomas Kelleher, President Los Angeles Police Emerald Society

​

Irish Woman of the Year: Erin Scott Haines, President, McNulty School of Irish Dance

​

Mandy Okeeffe, Cathleen Sweeney, Dennis Sullivan, Randy Beard, Tristen Wolffe, Christy Caldwell, Rachel Rath,  Rory Aitken, Catriona Weafer, and Dan Conroy. 

 

The award ceremonies will be hosted by the Honorable Tom LaBonge and Griffin Healy, President of the Irish Fair Foundation.

 

After the ceremony, the Honored will be feted at the Irish Civic Day luncheon to be held at Dublin’s Irish Whiskey Pub, located at 815 W. 7thSt. The friends and family are also very welcome.
